Three members of the OVC champion Southeast Missouri State University softball team have been named to the GTE District Seven Academic All-District team.

Named to the 11-person squad were senior pitcher Christine Engelhardt, junior shortstop Jenny Oermann and senior center fielder Anne Trieb. All three players will receive consideration for the Academic All-America team.

Engelhardt, a two-time GTE Academic All-American, has a 3.96 G.P.A. in elementary education. On the mound she compiled a 16-5 records and 1.41 E.R.A.

Oermann, a second team GTE All-American last year, has a 3.81 G.P.A. in elementary education. She leads the Otahkians with a .410 batting average.

Trieb, named to the all-district team for the second straight year, has a 3.66 G.P.A. in math education. She is batting .302 on the season.
