As the regular season of baseball concludes, many Southeast Missourian schools enter the postseason in position to contend for an MSHSAA district title.

__Class 1 District 2__

Four local schools compete for a title in this bracket as Oran, Bell City, Leopold and Delta all content for District 2 while Oak Ridge will travel west to play in District 3. Top-seeded Oran is set to host the district in Oran, Mo.

Oran earned the top seed in its district, finishing the regular season 15-4 while going 3-0 against the local Delta, Leopold and Bell City in the regular season. Bell City and Leopold both earned byes to play each other in the No. 2 versus No. 3 game, while Delta and Richland face off in the first round as the bottom two seeds.

__Class 1 District 3__

Oak Ridge earned the top seed, finishing 7-11 and is set to play Eminence at 2 p.m. on Monday while second-seeded, 3-13 Lesterville plays the third-seeded, 4-11 South Iron. South Iron hosts the district, 81 miles down the road from Oak Ridge in Annapolis, Mo.

__Class 2 District 3__

This district sees five local teams competing as Advance, Chaffee, Meadow Heights, Saxony Lutheran and St. Vincent all vie for a district title. Chaffee hosts district play in Chaffee, Mo. as the top-seeded Red Devils look to capitalize on home field.

Chaffee earned the top overall seed with a 17-9 regular season, while Saxony Lutheran (15-5), St. Vincent (13-8), Advance (10-8) and Meadow Heights (10-9) all follow suit as 2-3-4-5 respectively. Chaffee defeated all four teams in the regular season.

__Class 3 District 2__

The trio of Kelly, Woodland and Scott City finished Nos. 1, 2 and 3 respectively in a district hosted by Charleston. Kelly’s top seed earned it a bye along with Woodland and Scott City, with the teams set to begin postseason action on Tuesday afternoon.

Kelly’s 19-8 regular season earned it the top overall seed, going 4-0 against the district after defeating each team once. Woodland trickled down to the second seed after finishing 14-9, losing to Kelly but defeating Scott City on Apr. 24 to finish 2-1 in district play after not playing No. 4 East Prairie.

__Class 4 District 1__

After a strong finish to the regular season, Notre Dame earned the No. 1 seed in its district over No. 2 Kennett, with Fredericktown finishing as the No. 3 seed. Fifth-seeded Dexter is set to host the bunch in Dexter, Mo., with both Notre Dame and Fredericktown beginning play on Monday. Fredericktown matches up against Kennett, while Notre Dame awaits the winner of No. 4 Doniphan versus Dexter.

Notre Dame finished 12-10 in the regular season, defeating Dexter twice while knocking off Kennett by an 11-8 score at home on Apr. 19 to finish 3-0 in the district. Fredericktown’s lone district game came in a 12-2 home win against Doniphan on Mar. 27.

__Class 4 District 2__

Perryville finished fourth in a tight district hosted by Ste. Genevieve in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. after an 8-17 regular season. The Pirates begin postseason play on Saturday against the Herculaneum Blackcats, who finished 11-13 in the regular season to earn the No. 5 seed.

Perryville won the initial matchup 6-5. The winner of Saturday’s game will play on Monday against top-seeded Park Hills Central, who finished with a strong 18-3 record in the regular season.

__Class 5 District 1__

Cape Central will travel north to play in Windsor, Mo. for district play as the third-seeded Tigers begin their postseason against the sixth-seeded North County Raiders on Wednesday, while eighth-seeded Sikeston faces a tough matchup against No. 1 Hillsboro.

Cape Central finished the regular season at 14-15, defeating future district opponent North County 10-4 on Apr. 14 at home. Sikeston matches up against 19-4 Hillsboro after a meager 6-16 regular season, though five of the Bulldogs’ wins have come since Apr. 15’s 10-9 win against Mt. Vernon.

__Class 6 District 1__

After crushing the team's existing season wins record of 23, the 29-6 Jackson Indians earned the top seed in their district that's chock full of talent from the St. Louis area.

The Indians match up against a familiar foe, however, as Poplar Bluff matches up with its SEMO Conference rival in the first round of the Class 6 District 1 tournament hosted by Northwest in Cedar Hill, Mo. as the top-seeded Indians match up against the No. 8 Mules, with a season record of 12-14.

The Indians beat out No. 2 Seckman (20-11) and No. 3 Mehlville (21-6) for the top seed in the district and will look to advance out of district play for the first time since 2018 beginning on Wednesday.
