WILMOTH J. JOHNSON

BLOOMFIELD -- Wilmoth Jane Johnson, 96, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, April 29, 1992, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.

She was born May 3, 1895, near here, daughter of Lawson and Dollie Crockett Proffer. She married the Rev. S.L. Johnson Aug. 21, 1912. He died in 1963.

Johnson was a member of the Assembly of God Church here.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Bob Johnson, Charlotte Cooper and Nova Tidey of Bloomfield, Debbie Drew of Dexter, Mike Johnson of St. Charles; six great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by three daughters and two sons.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dallas Reagan will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.
