Rose Marie Thrower, 88, passed peacefully from her family's loving arms to His outstretched hands April 2, 2016, at Jackson Manor, where she had resided since March 16, 2011, after suffering a massive stroke Nov. 1, 2010.

Prior to her "professional" career, she cared for numerous children in her home while her children were at home and in school.

She loved everyone she met and greeted everyone with a big hug and a smile.

Her love for God and family were always foremost in her life.

She had many hobbies: cooking, of course; quilting; music; Cardinal baseball; and of course, an occasional trip to pull a slot handle.

The family would like to thank everyone who came to spend time with her, praying for her and our family, but especially Jackson Manor for the incredible care and love they showed her, along with Southeast Hospice.

Visitation for Rose will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dexter, Missouri, City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Southeast Hospice.

Online condolences may be shared at fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.
