Richard "Dick" Lee Meehan, 53, of Jackson died Monday, April 10, 2006, at his home.
Meehan was born May 11, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Jean Douglas "Bus" and Betty Louise Barnhart Meehan. He married Deanna Sides June 9, 1990, and was a lead person in the welding division of NLC-Lenco for 32 years. He also worked for the Jackson School District part-time for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Jackson; a son, Bruce E. Nanney of Millersville; two daughters, Tonya S. Meehan of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Brenda Kay Parker of Millersville; a brother, Dan Meehan of Shawneetown, Mo.; a sister, Peg Wolf of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Ricky Lee Nanney and Deanna Sue Nanney.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Wayne Doug Meehan.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. A private graveside service will take place Thursday at Russell Heights Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
