WILSON CITY, Mo. -- Mildred P. Pettigrew, 32, of Wilson City died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born April 8, 1968, at Charleston, daughter of Thomas C. WILSON CITY, Mo. -- Mildred P. Pettigrew, 32, of Wilson City died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 8, 1968, at Charleston, daughter of Thomas C. "Fats" Powell and Ethel Pettigrew.

Pettigrew was a 1986 graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Mo. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother of Wilson City; four brothers, Allen Pettigrew of Kansas City, David, Thomas and Anthony Pettigrew of Wilson City; six sisters, Evelyn Pettigrew of Wilson City, Jettie Brown of Parris Island, S.C., Mecca Pettigrew of Wyatt, Mo., Enda Sherrill, Bernice Frazier and Betty Pettigrew of Charleston; and maternal grandfather, Thomas Pettigrew of Lima, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a stillborn child Feb. 6 and by her father.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wyatt, with the Revs. T.R. Tyus and Lavern Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
