Michael R. Ward Sr., 43, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born Aug. 8, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo., son of Ray and Helen Morris Ward. He and Connie Larkin were married July 24, 1983, in Cape Girardeau...

Michael R. Ward Sr., 43, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 8, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo., son of Ray and Helen Morris Ward. He and Connie Larkin were married July 24, 1983, in Cape Girardeau.

Ward owned and operated Ward's Battery Shop. He was a member of Freedom of the Road Riders.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steven Miller, Michael Ward Jr. and Kenneth Ward of Cape Girardeau; his parents of Raymondville, Mo.; a sister, Shara McLard of Raymondville; grandmother, Nola Morris of Bolivar, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 11 to noon Wednesday.

Graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lorimier Cemetery. Bill Joyce will officiate.
