LOUISE E. HECHT

ALTENBURG -- Louise E. Hecht, 99, formerly of Altenburg, died Tuesday, June 21, 1994, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

She was born May 18, 1895, at Wittenberg, daughter of Charles R. and Emilie Palisch Swan. She and William H. Hecht were married Sept. 6, 1914. He died April 26, 1967.

Hecht was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, had been in the choir and taught Sunday School.

Survivors include two sons, Edgar Hecht of New Wells, Eugene Hecht of Frohna; three daughters, Edna Culp of St. Louis, Norma Mueller of Frohna, Doris Sullivan of Jackson; two brothers, Bryan Swan of Chicago, Milton Swan of Cape Girardeau; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers, a sister, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 5-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30-8 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Charles Weber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
