MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Jerry Houston Sanders, 69, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 26, 1943, in Parma, Mo., to John Franklin and Alice Lucille Nordin Sanders. He married Dorothy Jo Foulk on July 3, 1966.
Jerry worked for Nestle 25 years and then worked at Ceramo in Jackson 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Melissa (Charles) Graham of Salem, Mo., Melinda Sanders of Marble Hill; a brother, Richard (Judy) Sanders of Oak Ridge; four sisters, Margie (Leon) Stricklin of Chaffee, Mo., Fay (Johny) Lee of Rodgersville, Mo., Kay Scheper of Benton, Mo., Peggy (Terry) Lee of Chaffee; a brother-in-law, Mike Scheper of Scott City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Sanders.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
