ELIZABETH LONDON

BERNIE -- Elizabeth London, 86, of Bernie died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, at her home.

She was born in Essex on Sept. 3, 1911, the daughter of James W. and Hydra Greer Darby.

She married Francis London on Nov. 18, 1948. He died in 1959.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Essex before spending 30 years in Michigan. She moved to Bernie in 1971.

She is survived by a son, Joseph Jenkins of Haverhill, Mass.; two daughters, Joy Julian of Paris, Mich., and June Lambrix of Riverview, Mich.; three sisters, Beulah Baker and Ollie Taylor of Carlinville, Ill., and Bertha Roberts of Bernie; eight grandchildren;, 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside service will be at 2 Tuesday in the Essex Cemetery, with the Rev. George Hill officiating. Interment will be at Essex Cemetery.
