MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Delphia Naola Brown, 94, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.
She was born March 4, 1918, in the Hurricane community, daughter of Charles Edward and Emma E. Patton Douglas. She and Johney O. Brown were married Oct. 22, 1938. He preceded her June 25, 1980.
Delphia was a member of Marble Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Wayne (Euva Mae) Brown of Marble Hill; a daughter, Naola Faye (Glenn) Mayfield of Jackson; two sisters, Mildred Long of Sedgewickville, Mo., Ruby Brotherton of Patton, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; a daughter, Shirley Brown; seven brothers; four sisters; and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Gerald Cowan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery at Scopus, Mo.
