Funeral service for longtime businessman Charles W. Cauble, 810 E. Rodney, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Ernest Swartz will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Cauble, 81, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Sept. 29, 1912, in Anna, Ill., son of George W. and Alice Davis Cauble. He and Louise A. Bierschwal were married Oct. 10, 1931, in Jonesboro, Ill. She died April 12, 1990.

Cauble had been president of Cauble and Field Inc., a wholesale food company, since it was established in 1932. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, William Scott Cauble of Dexter; two daughters, Doris Hagedorn of Cape Girardeau, Mary Hale of Sikeston; a sister, Evelyn Boswell of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
