SCOTT CITY -- Delbert "Brady" Bryant, 79, of Scott City died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 9, 1920, at Sturdivant, son of Hayward and Maude Bryant. He first married Erma Held Uelsmann July 11, 1957, in Cape Girardeau. She died Jan. 17, 1989. He and Elizabeth Ward Gentry were married April 14,1990, at Scott City.
Bryant was a former maintenance worker with Frisco Railroad. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City and Eagles Aerie 3319 in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; seven stepsons, Mike, Dick and Steve Gentry of Cape Girardeau, Stan and Dan Gentry and Jim and Harold Uelsmann of Scott City; two stepdaughters, Mary Pruett of Poplar Bluff, Connie Gentry of Houston, Texas; a half brother, Albert Smith of Cape Girardeau; and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
