SIKESTON, Mo. -- Bob Lee Wilson, 61, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in the emergency room at Dexter Memorial Hospital following an acute heart attack.

He was born July 26, 1939, at Dexter, Mo., the son of Ernest and Imogene Florence Garner Wilson.

He graduated from Sikeston High School in 1957 and attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years. He began working at Sikeston Food Locker in 1960. He owned and operated the business until 1999.

He was working as a U.S.D.A. inspector at Tyson Foods in Dexter.

He served in the Missouri National Guard and was a Boy Scout leader. He was a former member of the Sikeston Jaycees and was a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge.

He also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

He is survived by three sons, Mark Wilson of Houston, Texas, John Bob Wilson of St. Louis, and Chad Wilson of Sikeston; and a sister, Pat Bockhorst of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
