Robert "Bob" Ervin, 65, of Jackson died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at his home.

He was born June 15, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Roscoe and Roberta Gay Rippeto Ervin. He and Bonnie Golden were married Dec. 21, 1968, in Cape Girardeau.

Bob attended Scott City High School.

He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Central Foods and later at Procter and Gamble 22 years. He was a member of Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills and V.F.W. Post 3838. He loved to play golf.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Ervin of Jackson; two sons, Tim (Judi) Ervin of Jackson and Terry Ervin of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Alan (Resa) Ervin of Jackson and Brian (Chrissy) Ervin of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Susan (Philip) Schmidt of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Sharon (Kenny) Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Ceirsten Hahn and Dakota Ervin; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clarence "Rocky" Ervin; and two sisters, Carol Henkel and Donna Ervin.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Scriptural Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church.
