ALFRED TELLOR

COBDEN, Ill. -- Alfred L. Tellor, 61, of Cobden died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at his home.

He was born March 9, 1937, in Jonesboro, son of Melvin Levi and Alma Fox Tellor. He and Ruth E. Pearson were married March 23, 1973, in Coldwater, Tenn.

Tellor was a welder, retiring from Transcraft Corp. in Anna.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Imogene Wright, Mary Trammel and Lisa Mighell, all of Anna, Sharon Mansfield of Nevada; five stepdaughters, Marilyn Smith and Debbie Turner of Cobden, Ruth Fisher of Lebanon, Tenn., Diane Melcher of Rose Hills, Kan., and Lisa Cruse of Carbondale.

Also surviving are three brothers, Henry Tellor of Jonesboro, Don Tellor of Vienna, Walter Tellor of Dongola; three sisters, Agnes Friese of Alto Pass, Esther Barker of Anna, Ella Smith of Dongola; and 22 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
