EAST PRAIRIE -- Adron Devall "Dyke" Stephens, 79, of East Prairie, died March 30, 1993, at the East Prairie Nursing Center after an extended illness.
He was born April 29, 1913, in Wingo, Ky., the son of Everett and Belle Franklin Stephens. He had lived in East Prairie most of his life, and formerly was employed by the City of East Prairie.
Survivors include one son, Mike Stephens of Florissant, Mo.; one daughter, Sue Beaird of Maryland Heights, Mo.; three sisters, Jessie Bugg and Iler Rohrer, both of Clinton, Ky., and May Via of Paducah, Ky.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Chapel with Brother Dave Bowden, pastor of the First Christian Church of East Prairie, officiating.
Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
