Trash pickup schedules changed for Presidents Day

Southeast Missourian ~ The Cape Girardeau Public Works Department and the Jackson Sanitation Department will operate on holiday schedules in observance of Presidents Day.

For Cape Girardeau, Feb. 18 trash and recycling routes will run Feb. 19; Feb. 19 routes will run Feb. 20; and there will be no special pickups Feb. 20. All other days will run on normal schedules. For more information, contact the department at 339-6351.

In Jackson, the sanitation department will not operate Feb. 18. Trash normally collected Feb. 18 will be picked up Feb. 19. The recycling center will be closed Feb. 18. For more information, call the sanitation department at 243-2333 or the Jackson Public Works Department at 243-2300.
