Robbery suspect waives his right to hearing

The case of a teenager accused of beating up a pizza delivery man was ordered to continue in circuit court Thursday. Jeremiah Reddin, 19, of 320 Good Hope St., waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday. Associate Circuit Judge Gary A. Kamp then scheduled the defendant to appear before Circuit Judge Benjamin Lewis Sept. 25. He is charged with felony robbery and armed criminal action in the Jan. 17 attack at 320 Good Hope St. Along with two other men, Reddin is accused of assaulting and robbing a 29-year-old Domino's employee. Of Reddin's co-defendants, Darwin K. Graham, 19, of 1126 S. Ellis St., was scheduled for a jury trial Jan. 9 and Michael A. Jones, pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Also Thursday, Reddin's public defender, Patrick McMenamin, asked Kamp to reduce his client's $100,000 bond, which the judge took under advisement.
