The Southeast Missourian asked people what activities they were looking forward to now that spring had officially arrived. Bobby Gary said: "The spring time activities I am looking forward to are basketball and other kinds of outdoor recreation. It's nice to just get out more and have a fun time. I am definitely tired of winter weather and will be real glad when it is over with."

James Williams said: "I like spring because it allows me to get out and keep my car, my wife's car and my kid's car clean. I also look forward to making a garden every year and going on vacation. As for the winter, I won't miss the sand being tracked in the house."

Margaret Popham said: "As spring approaches this time of year I look forward to being outside more. With the nice weather I enjoy bicycling and walking. Although the winter and snowy cold was fun for a little while I am glad spring is finally here."

Robert Simpson said: "Spring time for me means working at the pool. Summer is mainly what I can't wait for. I enjoy sitting around and relaxing and not worrying about much. I won't miss the cold weather and I will definitely be glad when it's gone."

Ronald Poston said: "I am looking forward to jet-skiing weather. Every chance I get I go out to the Mississippi. I also like motorcycle-riding weather too. I am not going to miss the winter we had. It wasn't too bad but I will be glad to get rid of it."

Rhonda Johnson said: "The one thing I really want to do is plant some flowers and tomato plants. I can't wait to do that. I also like taking Katie and Joshua to the park. Just getting out and enjoying the weather is nice. I won't miss the winter and the cold at all."
