Ohio River bridge restricted

CAIRO, Ill. -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane on the U.S. 51/U.S. 60/U.S. 62 Ohio River bridge between Wickliffe, Ky., and Cairo today, from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists can expect to encounter one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. The lane restriction is to allow preparation for more extensive work that is expected to start in the next few weeks. Motorists should be alert for equipment, flaggers, and personnel on the bridge deck in close proximity to traffic flow. Delays should be minimal, generally less than 5 minutes.
