No one hurt when shots fired Tuesday in Cape Girardeau

Police are looking for a suspect after someone discharged a weapon Tuesday on Jefferson Avenue.
About 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Cape Girardeau Police Department received a call about shots being fired and a suspect running from the scene in the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue, public information officer Darin Hickey said.
Officers responded and made contact with people in the area, Hickey said.

No one was injured, and no one has been arrested, he said.
The case remains under investigation. Hickey said officers still are trying to determine what kind of weapon was used.
