* Held a hearing to consider the abandonment of a portion of Colorado Street as requested by the Reorganized School District.

* Approved the re-appointment of Alderwoman Barbara Lohr to serve as the city's representative on the Cape Girardeau Area Magnet Board of Directors, for a one-year term beginning January.

* Set the general municipal election for Tuesday, April 3, to fill the offices of the mayor and board of aldermen.

* Accepted the bid of BBL Inc. of Perryville, Mo., in the amount of $22,709 for the wastewater treatment plant headworks building project.

* Authorized a contractual agreement with BBL Inc. for the wastewater treatment plant headquarters building project.

* Authorized the closure of certain streets in the central business district at 2 p.m. on Dec. 2 for the annual Christmas parade.

* Approved a change order to Fronabarger Concreters Inc., of Oak Ridge, regarding the East Main Street Extension Project, Phase 1.

* Approved the minor plat of D and H Third Subdivision as submitted by the Jackson First Assembly of God Church.

* Designated the street name of Cotton Meyer Drive in the Jackson Soccer Park.

* Added a stop sign on Cotton Meyer Drive.

* Added a crosswalk on South Oklahoma Street.

* Approved amendments to Chapter 11 of the code of ordinances.

* Approved the abandonment of a portion of Colorado Street.

Amendments

* Authorized a contractual agreement with US Bank, regarding the city's comprehensive banking services program.
