Volunteers and representatives of the Internal Revenue Service and Missouri Department of Revenue will be in the lobby of the Cape Girardeau Post Office today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to answer last-minute tax questions.
They will have forms necessary to request an extension of time to file 1993 income tax returns, but will not prepare forms for taxpayers, the IRS said.
Vending machines that dispense stamps and envelopes are available in the lobby, which is open 24 hours. All mail deposited in the lobby by tonight's midnight deadline will be postmarked April 15.
