Full power restored to airport terminal

ST. LOUIS -- A terminal at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is back on full power after problems with a transformer were fixed.

Lambert spokesman Jeff Lea said a transformer that feeds power to the airport's Terminal 1 "blew" Sunday morning, but full power was restored Sunday evening.

He said 10 flights were canceled and several others were delayed while the terminal operated on backup power.

Terminal 1 houses American, Delta, United, and Alaska airlines as well as other smaller carriers.

Lea says it's unclear what caused the transformer problems.

Ameren Missouri spokeswoman Lori Light said earlier the outage also affected about 370 other customers in the area.
