Cape Girardeau police arrested a man on drug charges Thursday afternoon on Bloomfield Street.
Michael Irvin, 19, address not listed, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and cocaine, according to police. Irvin also was arrested on Cape Girardeau County warrants for possession of cocaine and marijuana, according to police.
An officer saw Irvin sitting in his a vehicle, parked at 1021 Bloomfield St., in a lot that prohibits loitering, said Darin Hickey, spokesman for the police department. The suspect's activities appeared suspicious in nature, and the officer discovered the drugs during a consent search of the vehicle, Hickey said.
Irvin was in custody Friday at the Cape Girardeau County Jail on a $15,000 surety bond.
