ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A newborn baby is in satisfactory condition, a day after being found in a St. Louis trash bin.
The baby boy was discovered about 9 p.m. Monday by a man preparing to dispose of yard waste after cutting his grass. The child was taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
The umbilical cord was still attached when Wesley Falker found the boy. Falker believes he was meant to be there to save the baby.
Police are searching for suspects.
It wasn't known how long the child had been in the bin. The temperature was about 70 degrees when the child was found.
