Indasia, LLC, has opened in a new facility at 2370 N. High Street in Jackson. The company is involved in the nationwide distribution of spices primarily used by the poultry, sausage and meat industries.

The headquarters for its distribution network is located in a new building between Jackson and Fruitland on Highway 61. The building is owned by Oak Enterprises. Tom Kelsey, broker for Lorimont Place Ltd., in Cape Girardeau handled the lease transaction.

Henning and Brigitta Bollerslev are owners of the business and Helen Proffer serves as office manager. Product lines include special ready mixtures for sausage and meat as well as for delicatessen products, quality additives in liquid and powder form for meat processing, and marinades for ready to cook meat products.

Spice specialty lines also include barbecue and household spices for consumer use.

Kelsey said the company will use the facility to receive, ship and warehouse imported product lines. It will also serve as general offices, and as a customer service and quality control center.
