What is your vision for your practice in 2012?
As the new owner of a 35 year old practice, it my goal to treat each patient with respect, dignity and apply the golden rule in all aspects of care and continue the great patient care that patients and referring doctors have come to expect from Dr. Ward, the original owner of the practice. Our surgical specialty allows for treatment of a very wide range of problems that affect the head and neck region including difficult dental extractions, wisdom teeth, pathology, trauma, hard and soft tissue reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea and others.
How will technology affect your practice going forward?
It is a great time to be a doctor. Utilizing technology can be a wonderful way to help patients receive the best care that is available in a time efficient and less invasive manner. The use of 3-D imaging in the office has made it possible to bring state of the art imaging to more patients and this is particularly important in the area of the head and neck with hundreds of important structures.
What is the most satisfying thing about your specialty?
I have been blessed to have been welcomed warmly into a fantastic community. Patients that seek the care of an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon have hundreds of different problems and challenges. There is a great sense of satisfaction from helping patients and their referring doctors achieve optimum results.
