Individuals considering whether to start or expand a small business may take part in a free six-week training course beginning May 20. The course, offered by the Southeast Innovation Center, will offer Operation Jump-Start, a nationally recognized program that teaches planning and preparation skills in a non-academic, practical course. The program is underwritten by a grant from the Delta Regional Authority and past courses have helped more than 500 people who have started more than 170 businesses. For more information, contact Gina Harper at 573-651-2929 or e-mail gharper@semo.edu. The deadline is Saturday.
