Mark Kasten walked to work every day after school from Central High School on Caruthers Ave. to the family business at 1455 Independence St., just a couple blocks away. The company has changed its residence and increased its offerings since Gene Kasten opened its doors in 1966, but one thing never changed.

"We have always strived to offer the best products and service at the most competitive price," Mark Kasten said. "We have been rewarded with many loyal customers who have made our business a success."
