When it comes to marketing, the Beardsley family, who owns Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment, let their products speak for themselves.
Offering New Holland tractors, Bush Hog rotary cutters, Kuhn and Deweze hay equipment and Gooseneck trailers, Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment caters to cattle farmers and landowners looking for reliability and performance said owner Bill Beardsley.
"New Holland is a top of the line product," said Beardsley. "It is the line of old Ford tractors which have been around since 1903. There are Ford tractors that are 60 years old and are still running around."
Bill and Esther Beardsley, along with their son David and daughter Dawn Gatewood, have serviced the area since 1984 from their location at the intersection of Business 60 and NN.
"We stared the business in Doniphan in 1979 before moving to Poplar Bluff in 1984," said Beardsley. "We have a lot of customers here in town."
Helping the Beardsleys are Joey Thompson, parts and service manager; Bob Shepard, service technician; and Tom Fisher, service technician.
"We are just a small family operation," said Bill. "We are dedicated to service. We take time to visit with our customers, try to find the right equipment for their needs."
Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment services the equipment they sell and aims to offer customers the most product for their money.
Take the Gooseneck trailer for instance, said Beardsley. "You could call it the Cadillac of stock trailers. It is a new product for us which has been selling well."
In addition to farm implements, Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment carries a line of Arctic Cat ATVs. Beardsley said Arctic Cat's are known for their innovation and quality making them a perfect product for his business.
The Beardsleys welcome new customers to come and see for themselves the quality products offered at Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment is located at 208 Ridge Hollow Lane, roughly at the intersection of Business 60 east and NN.
