Cape Girardeau attorney John Layton has retired from the Old Town Cape (OTC) Board of Directors. Layton, one of the original members of the board, helped with the bylaws and legal matters for the board, which directs the Main Street program in the city.
Layton was honored by OTC officers recently. He received a pen, presented by Judith Anne Lang, OTC president.
The OTC board has two members -- The Rev. Paul Kabo Jr., of First Presbyterian Church and attorney Stephen R. Southard, of the Spradling & Spradling law firm.
