PERSONNEL: JOINS ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER

Maria Swan has joined the staff at St. Francis Medical Center as public relations coordinator.

Swan, of Cape Girardeau, is a graduate of University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she received her bachelor of science degree.

She previously worked at Johnson Communications Service Inc., of Cape Girardeau, where she served as a consultant. Swan also previously worked as marketing director for Palmerston and Reed Publishing Co. in St. Louis, and as a television reporter at Columbia, Mo.

In her new position, she will be responsible for writing news releases, coordinating media visits, assisting medical center departments with displays and audiovisual needs and copywriting a variety of publications.
