Dr. Michael Wulfers of Cape Girardeau attended the conference on "Infant, Child and Adolescent Medicine" sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians in San Antonio, Texas. The conference focused on a comprehensive approach to care of younger patients.
More than 200 other family physicians from around the country attended the seminar. National experts on infant, child and adolescent health led workshops on a variety of topics to enhance physicians' knowledge and improve the provision of primary care health services to these patients.
The conference included presentations on pediatric developmental disorders, common congenital problems, pediatric gynecology problems, immunizations, asthma, evaluation of heart murmurs, delayed puberty, eating disorders, adhs/ADD, violence in adolescence, and other areas relating to care of children and teens.
