Steve Watkins, of Dexter, Mo., has been elected to serve the Southeast Missouri Funeral Directors Association as District 11 director. He will be installed to his new position this week at the Missouri Funeral Directors Association convention at Springfield.
Watkins has been serving as secretary-treasurer of the District 11 group. A new secretary-treasurer will be elected during the August meeting, to be held at Malden, Mo.

The District 11 group met recently at Port Cape restaurant in Cape Girardeau, with Cape Wilbert Vault Co. of Cape Girardeau hosting the social hour.
More than 50 funeral directors form the Southeast Missouri area attended the June meeting. Officers present included Norman Bradshaw of Malden, president; Eric Basler, Ste. Genevieve, Mo., vice president; Watkins, secretary-treasurer; and Jon Corzean, Farmington, Mo., District 11 director to the MFDA.
Nathan Nickolas, MFDA attorney, presented a program on OSHA.
