Susan Break of Cape Girardeau, delicatessen manager at Schnucks, 19 S. Kingshighway, has been named "Deli Manager of the Year" in Schnucks Division 5, St. Louis Division, which includes 11 Schnucks stores.
The selection is based on selling techniques, merchandise display, sanitation levels and profits.
"This is a big honor, especially considering we are in the same division with a big, new store in St. Louis." said Break, who has been at the Cape Girardeau Schnucks store 10 years.
Bill Skelton and Robert Forsythe, both of Scott City, drivers for United Parcel Service, have been inducted into the Missouri District's Circle of Honor program, which recognizes UPS drivers who have attained 20 years or more of accident-free driving.
Skelton, a tractor-trailer driver, and Forsythe were each honored for 25 years of accident-free driving. Both work out of the UPS facility in Cape Girardeau, and provide delivery service in the Cape Girardeau area.
Sue Bellis has joined Ambassador Realty.
Bellis has more than 18 years experience in the real estate field and is a licensed broker-salesperson.
She is member of the National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors, Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors and chairperson of the local board's Grievance Committee and Christmas Installation Banquet Committee. She is also a member of the MAR Million Dollar Club.
Liz Abernathy of Coldwell Banker Blanchard and Associates Realty, Inc., has been named one of the top 10 sales associates in Missouri for total units sold, listings sold, buyer controlled sales and gross commission income through mid-year for Coldwell Banker Residential Affiliates Inc.
The realty firm has offices at 1223 N. Kinghighway in Cape Girardeau and 2836 Jackson Blvd. in Jackson.
Marcia VanGennip of Marble Hill was the winner of three free credit-hours at the Metro Business College, 1732 N. Kingshighway, during a recent promotion by the school.
Mary Emmenderfer, director of the school, said two winners were named. Joannie Smith of Cape Girardeau was winner of a free night class of her choice.
Evelyn Mitchem of Oran, Darla Beggs of Jackson, Mary Heisserer of Cape Girardeau and Sonya Lappe of Bonne Terre were honored recently for outstanding sales of Mary Kay Cosmetics. The four are consultants in the Jana Jateff unit of Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Eight employees of VNA Community Services Inc., headquartered at Kennett, have been honored for "doing things right," and will receive an extra day of paid vacation.
Included in the group were Shirley Sadler of Burfordville and Minnie Thurmand of Charleston. Others receiving honors were Alta Brewer and Patsy Demkey of Kennett, Sharon Rodgers of Caruthersville, Dorothy Brown of New Madrid, Sue Abelson of Dexter and Dorothy Reeder of Sikeston.
As part of a VNA safety program, in-home director Sheryl Dority randomly visits homes being served by VNA. "Workers found following all safety guidelines are rewarded," said Dority, "and I'm pleased to announce that in every case we found 100 percent compliance during our July visits.
Denson Boner of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Mac Tools distributorship.
Boner recently completed the Mac business training session in Columbus, Ohio, and will be servicing the Cape Girardeau area.
Mac Tools, a division of Stanley Works, manufactures mechanics' tools that are sold by independent distributors to professional mechanics where they work.
Dr. Robert S. Hunt, a Cape Girardeau physician, has received the Physician's Recognition Award.
The award, presented by the Missouri State Medical Association and the American Medical Association, is earned by physicians who voluntarily complete 150 credit hours of continuing medical education courses in a three-year period.
Five winners were announced during Judy's open house.

Kelly Wolfenkoehler has joined Auffenberg Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge, 611 S. Kingshighway, as customer relations manager.
The firm has also announced several promotions: Kenny Seabaugh to service and parts director; Mike Tanner to parts manager, and Brad Baker and Max Asher to co-service managers.
