Jay B. Knudtson has been employed as the new area manager of CyberTel for Southeast Missouri.
Wayne Smith, who has been general manager of CyberTel for Southeast Missouri since their service inauguration in 1991, has been promoted to general manager of the Missouri region for Cybertel.
Knudtson comes to the company from Boatmen's National Bank of Cape Girardeau where he was an assistant vice president. He has lived in the Cape Girardeau area for the past four years and is a native of Minnesota.
Smith is a native of Delta and graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. Prior to joining CyberTel, he was director of planning and development for Southwestern Bell Corporation in St. Louis.

Shane Glover has joined the sales staff at Ford Groves, 1501 N. Kingshighway, in the used car department.
Glover has experience in sales. Since 1991 he was a salesman with General Sign Company, working in St. Louis. For two years prior to that, he worked at Van Matre Buick selling cars.
Glover, who lives in Kelso, began work June 14.

Baldwin has experience in all phases of interior design.

Dorothy Gholson of Jackson won the Missouri Dental Assistant Association State Loyalty Award for 1993.
She received the honor at the association's annual meeting June 3-5 at St. Joseph. Three awards were presented: dedication, achievement and loyalty.
The loyalty award is given to someone who has worked for one employer for a consecutive number of years. Gholson has worked for Dr. Wm. Michael Mapes of Cape Girardeau for 14 years.
She is a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School and attended Mineral Area College for dental assisting, graduating in 1978.
Gholson has been past president and vice president of the Cape Girardeau District Dental Assistant Society. She is a member of the American Dental Assistant Association and the National Association of Dental Assistants. She is currently certified through the Dental Assisting National Board.

Kimberly Skaggs has joined Regional Eyecare Center, Inc., 1749 Independence, as an optometric technician.
She assists Drs. Beverly Cleair, Robert Felker and Thomas Gibbons. She is also working with Rickie Scott in the visual therapy program where patients do exercises to teach they eyes to function properly.
Skaggs attended Southeast Missouri State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in elementary education
Skaggs recently taught for the Cape Girardeau Adult Basic Education Program at VIP Industries and the satellite class in Chaffee.

Bob Myrick of Cape Girardeau, an agent in the Country Companies Massac-Pulaski-Alexander Agency, has completed the insurance group's advanced estate planning school.
The course was held June 8-9 in Bloomington, Ill.
Agents learned about time payment of estate taxes, pension maximization and proper arrangement of life insurance ownership and beneficiaries.

Local Domino's Pizza franchisee Dan Lynn was recently honored with the Trailblazer Award at the annual Domino's Pizza awards banquet in Dallas.
The Trailblazer Award is given in recognition of developing a new product or procedure that benefits all of Domino's Pizza.
Lynn was instrumental in development and testing of "St. Louis Style Thin Crust." The product was successfully tested in the St. Louis area and will be available nationwide soon.
Lynn owns stores in Cape Girardeau and Jefferson County in Missouri and in Carbondale, Ill.

Dr. James W. Wills of Jackson has returned from a two-day chiropractic seminar in Kansas City.
He participated in advanced studies of activator methods, with special focus on carpal tunnel syndrome.
Upon completion of this training, Wills is entered into a worldwide referral system of proficiency-rated chiropractors in activator methods. His office is at 2625 Highway 61 East in Jackson.

Debbie Kjellberg, sales manager-national office, was recognized as Sales Person of the Year when she won Drury Inn's Presidential Club award for 1992-93.
Kjellberg of St. Louis was also named a member of Drury Inns' Ambassador Club at the hotel chain's national sales meeting held in Nashville, Tenn. in May.
Now it the second year, the Drury Inn Presidential and Ambassador Club awards have helped emphasize the importance the company places on sales and service. The Ambassador Club awards were presented to 11 members of the Drury Inn sales force, who met goals in the areas of budgeted revenue, sales goals and sales audit.
