Julia Cowsert of Cape Girardeau, who has more than 15 years experience in the health field, has been named manager for the Cape Girardeau office of Complete Health Care, 1707 Mt. Auburn Road.

Complete Health Care, headquartered in St. Louis, provides in-home health care to residents of 22 Eastern Missouri counties from six locations.

The Cape Girardeau office, which opened in Cape late in 1993, serves Cape Girardeau and Perry counties.

Other Complete Health Care centers are at St. Louis, Hannibal, Hillsboro, St. Clair and Montgomery City.

Mike Kohlfeld, president of Kohlfeld Distributing Co., and Dennis Marchi, manager of Schnuck's Food and Drug, have been named to the Chateau Girardeau board of directors.

Chateau Girardeau, one of two nationally accredited retirement communities in Missouri, opened in 1979.

The newest addition to the retirement center is Chateau Estates, which offers two-bedroom homes.

Chateau, which serves more than 300 residents, is a not-for-profit, nondenominational, continuing care retirement community which provides its residents a lifetime of services, including long-care health care.

Thomas R. Wall Sr. of Jackson has joined Covenant Life Insurance Co., as a financial and estate planning representative for the St. Louis area.

Wall, who has been in the life insurance industry since 1985, will maintain an office at Jackson.

Covenant Life Insurance Co., headquartered in Valley Forge, Pa., provides life insurance and other financial security products.

Kathleen Darden has joined Century 21 Key Realty, 980 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, as a sales associate.

Darden has extensive real estate training and specializes in residential sales, listings and finance. Prior to her real estate career, she worked as an accountant/auditor 26 years.

Mindy Pulley has been promoted to the position of real estate loan officer at Boatmen's Bank.

Pulley, a graduate of Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., with a Bachelor of Science Degree, joined Boatmen's in 1989 as an assistant real estate loan association, and has received three previous promotions.

As real estate loan officer, Pulley's primary responsibility will be assisting customers with home financing.

Pulley started her banking career in 1980 as operations secretary and teller at Commerce Bank in Columbia.

Dr. Greg Leet, a Cape Girardeau optometrist with offices at 2909 Independence, recently attended the 71st annual Southern Educational Congress of Optometry meeting in Atlanta, Ga.

He attended several lectures, panel discussions and hands-on workshops presented at the Congress, a major annual meeting for optometrists and their staffs.

William Elliott of Jackson recently attended a national sales and education conference sponsored by Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL), held at Cancun, Mexico.

Elliott qualified to attend the conference based on outstanding sales and service to AAL members during 1993. He was also honored for achieving excellence in fraternal service and attended te volunteer recognition events at the conference.

AAL, headquartered in Appleton, Wis., provides Lutherans and their families with life insurance, disability income insurance and retirement products.

Mary Scholl of Jackson has joined Elite Travel Inc., 354 Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau.

Scholl has a background in customer service and specializes in travel to Las Vegas and various cruise destinations.

Three fitness instructors with Southeast Missouri Hospital's Fitness and Wellness Center have received American Council on Exercise certification.

Janey Miller of Jackson, Chris Kanneberg and Jennifer Foeste of Cape Girardeau join the list of ACE-certified professionals working in the Fitness and Wellness Center.

ACE has 18,000 members in 45 countries.

Southeast's fitness and wellness programs include nutrition education, exercise classes and lifestyle modification programs.

Kevin Mills, Cape Girardeau County Farm Bureau insurance agent with the Beckham Farm Bureau Insurance Agency, has been honored by the Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Brokerage, Inc., for sales accomplishments in 1993.

Mills was one of 15 agents who qualified for the company's "Health Net Annualized First Year Commissions Pyramid Club award from an agency force of more than 200 agents.

The Beckham Agency has also been recognized as the top agency in Health Net Annualized First Year Commissions.

Donald D. Beckham, agency manager for Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Madison and Perry counties accepted the award on behalf of the agency.

Tammy Neumann of Cobden has accepted the position of home health aide at Tip of Illinois Health Services at the Anna office. She has worked at Tip since May of 1991 as a secretary.

In her new position, she will assist patients with personal care such as exercising, bathing, and shampooing.

Neumann received certified nursing certificate from Shawnee College in 1993, and will complete her licensed practical nurse degree in December.
