Sarah Finney-Webb of Cape Girardeau has joined the staff of Hair Force, 1 N. Sprigg, as a manicurist.
She specializes in sculptured nails and nail art. Manicures are available for both women and men. She hopes to offer pedicures in the future. Finney-Webb is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School in 1993.
Angel Jamerson has joined the Missouri State Auditor's office as an audit assistant. Missouri State Auditor Margaret Kelly announced Jamerson's appointment last week.
Jamerson, daughter of Tony and Norman Jamerson of Benton, received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University in May.
Dr. Walter Schroeder, a Cape Girardeau physician, has received the Physicians Recognition Award.
The award, presented by the Missouri State Medical Association and the American Medical Association, is earned by physicians who voluntarily complete 150 credit hours of continuing medical education courses in a three-year period.
The purpose of the award is to recognize physicians who are keeping up-to-date in their medical specialties and adding to their medical knowledge.
Kevin E. Grigery of Michelson Jewelers at West Park Mall recently completed the Diamond Council of America's (DCA) course in diamontology.
Grigery, who has been with Michelson over a year, is registered as a certified diamontologist with the DCA.
Joyce Kuntze, owner of Arrangements By Joyce in Cape Girardeau, recently participated in a design show at the Missouri State Florists Association Convention held in Jefferson City.
Kuntze represented the Southeast Missouri region at the convention.
Kuntze, an FTD master designer and master florist manager, purchased Carver's Floral in 1980. The business was renamed Arrangements By Joyce in 1990.
Cape Girardeau cardiologist Dr. James Chapman recently participated in the evaluation of a new balloon catheter for the performance of coronary angioplasty.
The tests were performed in the experimental cardiac catheterization laboratory of St. Mary's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Rob Schwartz and Dr. David Holmes, staff cardiologists at Mayo Clinic, also participated in the evaluation. The catheters are being developed by Advanced Cardiovascular Systems of Santa Clara, Calif.
Chapman is associated with Cardiovascular Consultants of Cape Girardeau, and is a member of the medical staffs of St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Missouri State Medical Association, Cape County Area Medical Society and the American Heart Association.
