Lisa Asmus of Cape Girardeau has joined ERA Cape Realty as a sales associate.
Asmus' appointment was announced recently by David S. Glastetter, broker-owner of ERA Cape Realty.
Asmus is a member of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and Cape County Multiple Listing Service.
Rich Harper has joined Cape Toyota-Suzuki, 835 S. Kingshighway, as service manager.
Harper, previously of Granite City, Ill., has more than 20 years experience in the auto industry.
Dennis Miller has been appointed new service manager at Auffenberg Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge-Jeep Eagle, 611 S. Kingshighway.
Miller of Jackson has 15 years experience in the auto industry.
He previously worked with Chris Auffenberg Chevrolet in the St. Louis area.
Loretta Oehl Beck, formerly of Oak Ridge, has joined Gadzooks Inc. in a new position as senior vice president, merchandising and marketing. The company is a Dallas-based junior and young men's clothing and accessories specialty chain.
Beck will oversee all merchandising and marketing for Gadzooks, which has 90 stores. The company, founded in 1983, is currently on an expansion plan that will double its number of stores within two years.
Beck, who has 19 years experience in retailing, previously worked 11 years at Macy's, advancing from buyer trainee to vice president. She later worked at Burdines, May Co. and most recently, Montgomery Ward.
Deb Maevers of Jackson has been named "Woman of the Year" by the Jacksonian Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
Selection is based on career, educational advancement, community involvement and participation in the association.
Maevers is active in the field of interior design and currently is associated with Cracraft-Miller Inc. She and her husband, Jim, own Super Video, Main Street Fitness and Maevers Management.
Maevers has been a member of the businesswoman's group since 1989 and has served as president, vice president, corresponding secretary and hospitality chairman. She is currently membership chairman.
Larry Underwood, a sales associate with ERA Cape Realty in Cape Girardeau, has received performance awards from Electronic Realty Associates, L. P. (ERA Real Estate) Region IV in a number of categories, including closed transactions, buyer protection plans funded and total production for 1994.
Underwood and ERA Cape Realty associate Sandra Little, received the ERA Silver Eagle Awards for meeting the requirement of 25 transactions, or $2.5 million, in production.
Other ERA Cape Realty associates receiving recognition for 1994 production were Robert S. Price, Barbara Giddens, James Cox, Ken Kiefer and Loretta Turner.
Awards were presented during the recent ERA St. Louis Broker Council awards ceremony.
Dr. Shanon T. Kirchhoff recently attended the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association seminar at St. Louis.
The symposium was designed for orthodontists to expand their knowledge and skills in treatment strategies for patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial problems.
Bruce Enke, manager of Tractor Supply Co. store at Temple, Texas, and formerly of Cape Girardeau, has been named TSC "Manager of the Year."
Inke was selected from 172 store managers nationwide.
He joined Tractor Supply as a sales associate at the Cape Girardeau store in 1983. He became assistant manager at Harrisburg, Ill., a year later, and was appointed manager of the Wichita Falls, Texas, store in 1985. He moved to Temple as manager in 1990.
Rick L. Davis of Caruthersville has been named Union Electric office supervisor for Hayti, Caruthersville, Steele and Portageville.
Davis joined Arkansas Power & Light at Hayti in 1988. He became customer service adviser when UE purchased AP&L properties. Davis is also Caruthersville mayor.
He replaces G. W. Fox of Caruthersville, who retired March 1.
Michael Martin, a rice grower from Bernie, recently graduated from the Rice Leadership Development Class, sponsored by DuPont.
He visited DuPont headquarters at Wilmington, Del., and toured the Stine-Haskell Research Center. The graduating class also met with government, regulatory and rice industry officials in Washington.
