Kathy Swan, president of JCS/TEL-LINK, was elected to a four-year term on the board of directors of Great Lakes Motorola Service Station (GLMSS) Association, during the group's spring meeting at Orlando, Fla.
GLMSS is a professional organization with more than 120 members from 26 states. Membership to the association, founded in 1985, is limited to people, firms or corporations with Motorola Service Station (MSS) designations.
JCS/TEL-LINK has served as the area's authorized Motorola service center since 1959.
Johnnie W. Sepulvado of Cape Girardeau has been appointed vice president for Spartech Corp.'s central region operations.
Sepulvado has been in the plastics industry more than 25 years, joining Spartech in 1989. He handles overall management for three Spartech Plastics central region plants.
Sepulvado's experience in all aspects of plastics extrusion and management, positions him well to assume the added responsibility of overseeing our McPherson,
Sepulvado has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Sam Houston University. He served as president of Impact Extrusions prior to joining Spartech.
Sepulvado will continue to live in Cape Girardeau.
Spartech has 38 facilities, including two operations in Cape Girardeau -- Spartech Plastics at 2500 Spartech Drive and Spartech Compounding on Nash Road.
Don Marler of Cape Girardeau has joined Hill Realty in Cape Girardeau.
Marler, originally of Farmington, attended Southeast Missouri State University four years, then founded DRM Enterprises, a rental housing business, before pursuing his real estate license.
Joe Trepasso has been named local sales manager at KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau.
He has served as an account executive with the television station since 1985.
Trepasso, who has been named "Salesperson of the Year" at KFVS-12 on two occasions, received the Jerry Hollis Sales Award for 1998.
He attended Northern Michigan University at Marquette and served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard before joining R&M Enterprises in Cape Girardeau. He worked at KBSI-TV here before joining KFVS-12.
Deborah Mileur, manager of AAA Travel, 1903 Broadway, has completed the Princess Cruises' Expert Training Program, a comprehensive travel agent training program.
The Princess Expert course, which certifies Mileur as a Princess Cruise expert, included a six-month series of courses covering cruising and cruise destinations.
Doris Jean and Gary Arnold, Pamela and Rodney Arnold, Gina Dillon and Kathi Fish, all of RE/MAX Achievers in Cape Girardeau, recently attended the annual RE/MAX awards celebration of the St. Louis Region at Harrah's Riverport Hotel & Casino.
Doris Jean Arnold was inducted into the 100 percent Club, and Trudy Brandt and Marcia Edwards were inducted into the President's Club for sales performances in 1998. The local RE/MAX Achievers received the Eagle Award Trophy for highest net gain of sales association in 1998.
