McAlister's Deli promotes two managers to operations

The McAlister's Deli franchise owned by Donnie and Cheri Harris of Jackson has promoted Justin Barnes to area director of operations for the Cape Girardeau and Paducah, Ky., stores. Barnes is a former general manager of the Cape Girardeau McAlister's. Matt Fox, originally from Marble Hill, Mo., has been named area director for the Marion and Shiloh, Ill., stores. He formerly was in management with Applebee's and has served as general manager for the Shiloh McAlister's the past year.

Cape Girardeau travel agent honored at trade show

Carolyn Kempf of Elite Travel Inc. was recently honored at the Funjet Vacations Trade Show in St. Loius for her sales from July 2008 to July 2009. Kempf was awarded an Funjet business kit for her consumer offers. Kempf competed against Internet companies and all other travel agents in a Midwest states competition.
