Chaffee resident named independent director

Lindi Rains of Chaffee was promoted to an independent director position at BeautiControl, a direct-sales company headquartered in Carrollton, Texas. Cape, Jackson residents attend financial meeting

Area Edward Jones financial advisers attended the firm's annual regional meeting in Osage Beach, Mo. These Cape Girardeau and Jackson residents were among 41 financial advisers to share ideas and information with their peers. Recent graduate takes post at Big River

Eddie Durham has accepted a programming position in the Information Technology department at Big River Telephone, headquartered in Cape Girardeau. He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Southeast Missouri State University in 2007. In addition to his education background, Durham has more than two years of experience in computer technologies and applications programming.

Realty Executives adds sales executive

Leslie Leimbach of Jackson has been named sales executive at Realty Executives of Cape Girardeau County. Leimbach has worked in the real estate industry for seven years.

Nurse examiner attends forensics conference

Kathy Blevins, sexual assault nurse examiner with Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence in Cape Girardeau, attended a forensics investigation conference in Kansas City, Mo. The Chaffee, Mo., resident was one of about 140 law enforcement members, medical professionals and social work participants from several to attend the meeting. The two-day conference featured sessions on evidence assessment, interpretation and outcomes of sexual assault cases; co-occurrence of domestic violence and child abuse; elder abuse; homicide case studies; and high-risk lifestyles.
