First State Community Bank in Cape Girardeau has announced the promotion of two employees and the addition of one member to its team.

Tara Holyfield and Liz Hillier were promoted and will serve as branch managers at two Cape Girardeau locations of First State Community Bank.

Holyfield, who has been with the bank since 2010 and has more than 12 years of banking experience, will manage the Broadview location.

Hillier, with over 29 years of banking experience, three of which were at First State Community Bank, will oversee the Kingshighway location. The changes in management took effect Friday.

Jeff Brune is the new business development specialist at the First State Community Bank in Cape Girardeau.

Brune, a Cape Girardeau native, graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor of arts in political science and history. Before joining the First State Community Bank team, he worked for The Airseeder Guys, SoutheastHEALTH, Northwestern Mutual and the Cape Girardeau Transit Authority.

She replaced Richard Landers, who served the bank for 16 years before accepting a position as general manager at Botkin Lumber Company. Though he is leaving his position, he will join the bank's Poplar Bluff advisory board as a director.

Wood has over 27 years of banking experience and has been with Commerce Bank since 2014. Wood received a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Hannibal LaGrange College. She serves as a member of the Rotary Club and on the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center board of directors.

Christy Craft has accepted a new position as hospice volunteer coordinator with the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri's hospice program. Craft brings 10 years of experience to the new role.

The addition of Craft increases the number of staff supporting VNA hospice volunteers to increase volunteer activity for hospice patients throughout Southeast Missouri.

As the VNA hospice volunteer coordinator, Craft will train and support volunteers in their roles serving as friendly visitors and helpful neighbors in the lives of VNA Hospice patients and their families. She has scheduled a free hospice volunteer informational meeting and training for Thursday at the Steele Community Center. The meeting is open to anyone who may have questions about hospice or is considering becoming a volunteer.

Joe Bradshaw has joined Morlan Chrysler in Cape Girardeau as a sales consultant. Bradshaw, who spent 33 years as an educator in Southeast Missouri, said he is bringing the same attitude of service to his new career.
