Jason D. Myer has joined the staff of Broadway Prescription Shop, 710 Broadway, as a pharmacist. Myer, from Kelso, Mo., attended pharmacy school at University of Missouri-Kansas City, and he brings with him many years of experience acquired as a pharmacist at several big-box and chain stores in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston, Mo. Since starting at Broadway earlier in the year, Myer has also received certification in immunization administration.
Sid Naramore of Chaffee, Mo., was named Driver of the Month for April by the Missouri Trucking Association. Naramore has been with Buchheit Trucking Service in Scott City for four years and is the company's first driver in nine years to receive the award. Naramore also received the company's Accident Free Award in 2012, and he has 30 years of driving experience, has driven more than 1.5 million miles and has had zero preventable accidents. In 2004, Naramore took first place in the Missouri Truck Driving Championship.
Dr. Emily Henderson has joined the practice of Dr. Walter Branscum at Tilsit Road Animal Clinic near Jackson. Henderson is a 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a native of Cape Girardeau County and grew up on her family farm near Delta.
Dr. Andrew Moore, MD, has joined the SoutheastHEALTH medical staff and will be affiliated with Southeast Hematology/Oncology. Moore holds a bachelor of liberal arts degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and received his MD degree from the same institution. Moore completed a residency in internal medicine at UMKC and completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Trent J. Essner has joined Southeast Ear, Nose and Throat as a clinical audiologist. Essner holds a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University, and he received his doctor of audiology degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Essner served as an audiology extern at a large otolaryngology clinic in Little Rock, Ark.
Robert Dunn, project manager for Robinson Construction Co. in Perryville, Mo., has recently earned the designation of Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. The PMP designation demonstrates excellence, education and competency in project management and is a globally recognized standard for the project management profession.
Saint Francis Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Colleen J. Moore, MD, FACS, as medical director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center. As medical director, she will oversee clinical quality and outcomes of the center. Moore, a Cape Girardeau native, is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and completed her training in general and vascular surgery at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, Mo. She joined Cape Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery in 2012 after seven years at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of surgery and director of The Vein Clinic. During that time, she also served as the director of the noninvasive vascular laboratory at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
