Lynn named manager of Buffalo Wild Wings
Longtime restaurant manager Jerry Lynn of Scott City, Mo., has been hired as the manager of the new Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar in Cape Girardeau. Bill Zellmer, the local franchise owner, made the announcement last week.
Lynn was supervisor of food and beverage for Harrah's Casino in Metropolis for nearly nine years and most recently was manager of Burger King in Jackson, Mo. He will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations with the primary focus on customer service along with being responsible for hiring and supervising the serving staff. He recently completed corporate training in Ohio.
Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar is scheduled to open in late August at 2136 William St. in the Town Plaza Shopping Center.
Procter & Gamble worker retiring after 25 years
Billy Jay Collier, a Procter & Gamble shift leader for 25 years, will retire Aug. 22. Collier, 58, has never missed a day of work. His retirement party was held last weekend at the Holiday Inn.
Longtime Schnucks head pharmacist transferring
Shirley Seabaugh, head pharmacist at Schnucks, is transferring to Jefferson City, Mo., as that Schnucks' new pharmacy manager. Seabaugh has been with the Cape Girardeau store since 1978. An open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
"It's sad for us and it's sad for the community that Shirley's leaving us, but good for Jeff City," said Schnucks manager Dennis Marchi. "She's been an intricate part of this operation since day one."
Russell named chair of ICMA board of regents
Keith Russell, a professor of accounting, finance and business policy at Southeast Missouri State University, has been appointed chair of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Board of Regents for 2002-2003.
The ICMA administers the certified management accountant and certified management examinations. The board of regents has oversight and responsibility for development of the certification examinations, identification of professional expectations of certificate holders and related standards of ethical conduct.
Mary Kay director gets national honors
Senior sales director Jana Jateff received national honors at the annual Mary Kay Cosmetics seminar in Dallas, Texas. Jateff led her unit to the $300,000 club for the 2002 seminar year. Jateff also earned a diamond and amethyst ring for personal sales of over $32,000 for the year. Leslie Thresher of East Prairie, Mo., won her ring and was No. 20 in the nation in personal sales.
