Mike Skelton recently was named general manager of Auffenberg Hyundai of Cape Girardeau. Skelton has more than 13 years of automotive experience in Cape Girardeau, according to a news release, including previous roles as a salesman, new car sales manager, used-car manager, general sales manager and general manager.

Pearl Wheeler recently retired from a 33-year career at Associated Electric Cooperative, where she held several roles at the cooperative's New Madrid, Missouri, power plant. Wheeler was a general utility worker and worked in the parts warehouse. She received the cooperative's Excel award for Employee of the Year in a Vocational Field in 2007, according to a news release, for her role in creating more efficient reporting and tracking for annual inventories, purchase orders, cost and work-order information. She also has been honored for safety.
