Strand joins staff of Select Physical Therapy

Select Physical Therapy, 240 S. Mount Auburn Road, announced the addition of Laura Strand, a licensed physical therapy assistant, to its staff. Strand is a certified pre- and post-natal educator and a 2000 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She has eight years' experience working primarily in an outpatient setting.

BP Financial employee named to Summit Club

Kevin A. Grovero, financial adviser of BP Financial Services, 718 Caruthers Ave., was recognized as a member of the Summit Club at the 20th annual Transamerica Financial Advisors Producers Roundtable held recently in Huntington Beach, Calif. The Summit Club recognizes the top 15 percent of Transamerica Financial Advisors financial professionals, based on earned commissions. It is the sixth year Grovero has received the recognition.

Thomas voted treasurer of nursing league

The Missouri League for Nursing Inc. announced Gwen Thomas, R.N. and director of education services for Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, has been installed as the league's treasurer at the annual convention held at the Lake of the Ozarks. Thomas will serve a two-year term. Thomas received her bachelor and master's degrees from Southeast Missouri State University and a doctoral degree in education from the University of Memphis.
