John Goodin, Ken Schmitz and David Kieffer have been hired at Coldwell Banker Hamilton. Goodin, previously an independent real estate broker in Charleston, Mo., holds both a Missouri and Illinois real estate brokers' license as well as an auctioneer brokers' license for those states.

Gooden has eight years of real estate sales and auctioneering and extensive training in land and commercial real estate and will specialize in that field for Coldwell.

Schmitz was previously in the banking industry last serving as senior vice president of Management Information System with Union Planters Bank. After completing his real estate pre-license course, Schmitz has taken Coldwell Banker training on marketing homes in the Cape Girardeau area.

Kieffer, a broker associate, has extensive training in real estate marketing. Kieffer recently completed requirements and exam for a Missouri real estate broker. He has experience in farming.

Commerce Bank names Todd Petzoldt to board

Todd Petzoldt has been named to the advisory board of directors for Commerce Community Bank, community president Roger L. Tolliver has announced.

Petzoldt is secretary/treasurer and chief financial officer for East Perry Lumber Co. Inc. He graduated with a bachelor's in business administration and computer science from Concordia University in River Forest, Ill., in 1986.

He serves on the board of directors of Perry County Health System, the Perryville Park Board, as well as serving as president of Doctor's Memorial Clinic in Frohna, and on the board of regents of Saxony Lutheran High School.

UPS honors employee for years of service

Joseph Boyer, manager for United Parcel Service, was recently honored for completing 30 years of service with the company. Boyer works in the UPS facility in Cape Girardeau.

UPS employs more than 339,000 worldwide. The Missouri district employs 5,000 and more than 30 operating centers around the state.

Jackson man honored as certified florist

Jackson, Mo., native Derek Woodruff from K.C.'s Flowers has been inducted as a certified florist under the Michigan Certified Florist Program.

The Michigan Certified Florist Program was created in 1977 by the Michigan Floral Association to establish a recognizable talent and quality standard throughout the retail floral industry.

Marble named new president of AIM

Associated Industries of Missouri has named Gary Marble the new president, effective June 1. Marble currently serves as state representative for the 130th District, which includes parts of Newton and McDonald counties.

Marble has served as state representative in Southwest Missouri for the past eight years and is ranking Republican of the Energy and Environment Committee. He is also a member of the following committees: Critical Issues; Consumer Protection and Housing; Fiscal Review and Government Reform; and Commerce and Economic Development. In addition, he has been instrumental in working for unemployment insurance and workers' compensation reforms.
